Destination Elopement Photography & Videography
Destination elopements in wild, adventurous, and meaningful places documented with presence, artistry, and a sense of curiosity.
Elopements, Shaped by Place
Destination elopements offer the freedom to choose a place to get married in that holds special meaning to you or somewhere you choose that feels expansive, adventurous, or deeply personal. Whether it’s a remote Icelandic coastline, high alpine terrain in Alaska, desert landscapes of the Sonoran, or somewhere entirely unfamiliar, destination elopements create space for incredible experiences for those who seek them.
While destination elopements usually require more planning and logistics ahead of time, I still approach them with the same philosophy that guides all of my work: allowing the day to unfold naturally, honoring both the people and the place, and documenting the experience as it truly happens. The goal isn’t to create spectacle, but to preserve the feeling of being and experiencing together.
What makes destination elopements different from traditional weddings?
The biggest difference is freedom — freedom in location, structure, timing, and intention.
Destination elopements allow you to step outside of expectations and create something that reflects your relationship more fully. There is no worrying about guest lists, catering menus, event coordinators or uninvited plus 1’s. The result is an experience that feels less like an event and more like a meaningful chapter in your life together.

Elopement Photography & Videography
Destination Elopement Videography
Destination elopement films allow for a slower pace and a deeper sense of immersion. My approach to videography centers on natural landscapes, movement, and epic atmospheres. I love capturing the feeling of wonder, stillness, and shared experiences in the wild places chosen and weaving these into the story of your relationship.
Each film is shaped by the rhythm of the day and the environment you’re in, resulting in a cinematic piece that reflects not just where you eloped, but how it felt to be there together.
Destination Elopement Photography
My destination elopement photography blends honest and grounded storytelling with a focus on the relationship between people and natural place. I love capturing how light moves across a landscape, how moments unfold when expectations are removed, and how connection deepens in unfamiliar yet epic natural settings.
Rather than forcing moments to fit a vision, I respond to what’s naturally present. From intimate gestures to expansive surroundings, each photograph is crafted to feel timeless, personal, and emotionally true.
Photography & Videography, Thoughtfully Aligned
Destination Elopement Photography and Videography can be booked individually or together. While each alone still come with the expertise and insightful planning ahead of time; when combined, they are approached as one cohesive story not separate services competing for moments.
This unified workflow allows for a calmer experience, intentional pacing, and consistent visual storytelling across both mediums, especially important when navigating unfamiliar environments and sharing with family and friends at a later time.
For the Wild Souls…

Support Through the Process
From travel logistics to timing, permits, and location access; planning a destination elopement can feel overwhelming. Every destination elopement package includes thoughtful guidance to help you navigate these details with clarity and confidence.
Every destination elopement experience I offer includes experience-based guidance to help you navigate these details with confidence and calm. From helping you think through locations and timelines to offering insight on light, pacing, and flow, my role is to simplify the process and remove unnecessary friction and stress.
My support extends well beyond documenting the day itself. I’m there to help you feel grounded, prepared, and present so you’re not managing the experience as it unfolds, but fully living inside it. When the logistics are handled with intention, what remains is space for connection, emotion, and a day that feels honest and unforced.
If you can Dream it,
You can do it
If you’re considering a destination elopement I’d love to hear what you’re envisioning. You don’t need a fully formed plan yet to have a destination elopement. You just need a sense of adventure, a love for your partner and the experience you will share together, and a dream.
From there, we’ll take things step by step, choosing a location, a season, and shaping an experience that feels grounded, personal, and true to who you are.
FAQS
-
A destination elopement is an intentional, often smaller wedding experience that takes place in a location meaningful to you. You can choose to elope in the mountains, along a coastline, in the desert, or somewhere you’ve always dreamed of traveling to even if its international!
Rather than following a traditional wedding structure, destination elopements are centered around connection, place, and experience. The focus shifts from production, guest lists, and expectation to presence and meaning.
-
Yes! I photograph and film destination elopements throughout the United States and internationally. While I’m based in Colorado, travel is a natural part of the work I do.
Each destination is approached with the same level of care, preparation, and intention regardless of where your elopement takes place.
-
Ideally, 8–12 months in advance gives you the most flexibility with locations, travel, and permits. That said, destination elopements can also come together more quickly depending on the location and time of year.
If you’re unsure, reaching out early is always helpful even if your plans are still forming.
-
Absolutely. Part of my role is helping you think through locations that align with both your vision and the experience you want to have as well as more logistical matters such as best season to elope in that location.
Whether you have a specific place in mind or are starting from scratch, I can offer guidance based on accessibility, seasonality, and overall feel. This helps you narrow things down in a way that feels intentional and aligned.
-
In many cases, yes, especially for national parks, protected lands, or more popular locations.
I help guide you through what’s required for your specific location, including permits, timing restrictions, and any logistical considerations so that everything is handled properly and respectfully.
-
Travel is an added on to my destination elopement packages in a flat fee that is simple, yet transparent way. Depending on the location, this may include flights, accommodations, and transportation.
I handle my own travel logistics and coordinate arrival times so everything aligns smoothly with your elopement timeline.
-
Weather is always part of the experience when you’re choosing to elope in natural places and often, it adds to the atmosphere rather than taking away from it.
That said, I always build in flexibility where possible and help you plan with backup options, timing adjustments, or alternate approaches so you feel prepared no matter what conditions arise. But more often than not, we embrace the weather together. Over the years I’ve shot in rain storms, blizzards, freezing conditions, on glaciers, and in extreme altitude.
-
Yes and this is a key part of the process.
I help build a timeline that’s based on your location, and how you want your day to feel not just a schedule to follow. This allows the experience to unfold naturally while still ensuring everything flows smoothly and you get the elopement experience you have been dreaming of.
-
Absolutely. Many couples choose to include a small group of close family or friends while still keeping the experience intimate and intentional.
Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering, the approach remains the same. Just know having more guests added to the experience can be limiting to the specific location you want to elope in as many places that require permits have guest size restrictions. We recommend having only 2-4 guests per person.
-
Most destination elopements work best with at least half-day coverage, and often full-day coverage depending on travel, multiple locations, and how you want the experience to unfold.
More time allows for a slower, more intentional pace which ultimately leads to a more meaningful experience for you.

Absolutely. As one of my favorite songwriters of all time (David Bazan) sings “Either way, you are worthy of love. you are worthy of love.” everyone has a story to tell and everyone is worthy of love whether that’s between people of the same gender or not. I want to capture your love and story.
