Sapphire Point is a popular hiking and viewpoint destination in the Dillon, Silverthorne, Breckenridge area of Colorado and for a good reason: it has stunning views of the Dillon Reservoir and the surrounding peaks of Summit County. Sapphire Point provides exceptional views and easy accessibility for people wanting to get married in the mountains while not having to hike up a mountain to get there. This is the spot Taylor and Austin chose, both Texas natives, for their destination wedding.

The day began in Breckenridge in the valley at one of Taylor’s family cabins. Here she dressed and prepared with her mom and friends and of course, her best bud, Benji, the dog.

Her dress caught the gleaming sun like no other with Swarovski crystals covering the top of her dress. Once Taylor was all dressed and ready, we did the sweetest first look with her father outside the cabin and took some family photos with the far off mountains on the horizon.

We then all loaded up Taylor and her family in the Epic Shuttle that traverses around the Dillon, Breckenridge, Silverthorne area and headed to Sapphire Point where we met up with Austin.

The day was sunny and bright and provided lots of light for the ceremony. Shortly after everyone arrived we began the formal ceremony with Austin and Benji walking down the aisle together to wait for their bride. Taylor was led by her father down the aisle to them a few moments later.

The ceremony was short and sweet with Sapphire Point providing enough seating and chairs for the small group of family and friends that made the journey to Colorado. After the ceremony we cleared out most of the seating and did some portraits with Taylor, Austin, and Benji, as well as one huge epic group shot!

We then all loaded up and headed to Mountain Thunder Lodge in Breckenridge for Taylor and Austin to hold their reception. Another great aspect of Sapphire Point in the limitless options for dining and reception that await in the mountain towns around. Mountain Thunder Lodge was great for everyone to go have dinner and socialize out on the back patio celebrating the newlyweds as the sun set behind the mountains. Taylor and Austin had the perfect intimate mountain wedding they always dreamed of with their closest family and friends (including the furry ones!) all in attendance. There were stunning views, lots of fun and laughter, and of course, love. Congrats to T and A!
