Sunrise Adventure Engagement Session in Nederland, Colorado
Well, this was an adventurous session for sure!
Alex and Evan and Autumn, their beautiful husky, all met us at the Lost Lake Trail in Nederland, Colorado for sunrise one weekend morning. We knew that the trail would be busy that day, and many reviews of the trail said the parking lot can fill up quickly!
So sunrise felt like the only option!
We met each other with flashlights and headlamps on in the dark with the stars still showing off and began the hike up to the Lost Lake.
While it was dark we talked and learned all about each other and the different backgrounds, interests, and stories we come from and have. Getting to hike with couples and getting to know them is always such a fulfilling experience!
We made it to the lake literally right as the sun was peaking out over the mountain peaks, and the lake was as still and quiet as could be, reflecting the sun-lit pines and the still visible full moon on the far shore.
Alex and Evan had hiked in their engagement attire and now changed into it with the forest as their dressing room. The scene was serene and beautiful. We did several sessions around the lake with the warm orange glow of the rising sun giving great color and back drop to the surrounding area.
As the morning progressed, we began hiking back down the way we came-not knowing exactly what we were to find since it had been so dark. We were greeted with beautiful mountain streams running under bridges through dense forests, epic overlooks of the area, and beautiful golden aspen forest to stop in.
The whole morning was special, and we were all blown away by the scenery that Nederland and Colorado had beheld us!
