Yosemite National Park is a special place and is a popular choice for couple’s looking to elope in the grandeur of nature. Ever since Emee was a little girl she dreamed of one day being married at Yosemite. Then one day she met Pete, and while they both lived up in New York, the distance did not stop them from pursuing Emee’s lifelong elopement dream. So on a day late in June, the dream became a reality for Emee and Pete. As a Destination Elopement Videographer, who is always down to travel to new places to capture couple’s love, I was stoked to get to go to Yosemite National Park for my first ever visit as well.

Sunrise Vows at Glacier Point

The day started before the sun was even up with everyone driving to Glacier Point in the dark as the nearest place to stay that isn’t actually in the park is a few hours drive away. We all arrived at Glacier Point as the pre-dawn blue hour began to brighten the horizon. Being the adventurous and down-to-earth couple that they are, Emee chose to wait to put on her dress until getting to Glacier Point so that they could begin the day with a first look.

We found a spot out on the edge of Glacier for them to have their ceremony. As the daylight began to set the horizon on fire, Emee and Peter shared their vows to each other overlooking the infamous Half Dome as the sun slowly rose in the distance. A kiss and an epic and fun champagne pop sealed the beautiful morning ceremony.

A Dreamy Evening at Taft Point

After the exciting and early morning of their ceremony we all took a short break and left the park and then met back up at their cabin to prepare for the evening hike and picnic. After getting all dressed and ready, we hiked into Taft Point in Yosemite National Park late in the afternoon where Emee and Peter had the most special evening together. They took in the incredible rays of the sunset over the canyon, shared cocktails they brought all the way from the East Coast from their favorite bar, and read letters that their closest friends and family had written them just for their elopement! There was lots of laughter, tears, and breathtaking moments and views.

Forever Memories in Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park served as the perfect canvas for Emee and Peter's love story. From the tranquil serenity of Glacier Point to the awe-inspiring vistas of Taft Point, every moment was a testament to the power of love amidst nature's splendor. Emee’s lifelong dream of eloping in the stunning shrine of nature that is Yosemite was realized before all our of eyes. From the epic scenes the National Park provided, to the quiet and personal moments shared between Emee and Pete as they read letters of blessings from their family members at sunset, this was an Adventure elopement to remember.
