Spruce Mountain Ranch - Colorado Winter Wedding - Quina + Bryan
Spruce Mountain Ranch- Winter Colorado Wedding Quina + Bryan
Quina and Bryan were married this past February 23 at the beautiful Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, Colorado. The wedding was gorgeous. By choosing February for a wedding date, Quina was hoping for a snow covered ranch and she got what she wanted- a beautiful wintry Colorado wedding with soft powdery snowfall and a venue with a warm ambience for a cozy, moody, and intimate feel to the day.
Quina and Bryan will always hold a special place in my heart. Having just picked up and completely moved market demographics and states for the first time ever- I grew up in Nashville, TN until moving to Denver in January 2018- they were my first shoot in Colorado. I’ll never forget the day we went to take engagement pictures up in Rocky Mountain National Park almost a year to the day of their wedding and it snowed the most beautiful snow hiking through the forest and mountains.
The wedding day started with Quina and her bridesmaids getting ready at The Marriott South where they stayed the night before and it was quite eventful *See epic champagne shot below* I think the bridesmaids famous last words as we set up for the toast were “Oh don’t shake it Quina!”
Everyone met at Spruce Mountain Ranch that afternoon to finish the final preparations before the ceremony that evening. Bryan and his groomsmen got dressed and ready in the Groom’s Suite that Spruce Mountain Provides. A perfect grooms suite at that, complete with some awesome vibes of exposed wood, leather chairs, a pool table, a bar, and fireplace.
Quina put on her dress in the cottage with equally beautiul exposed brick fireplace and natural lighting.
The ceremony was held in Albert’s Lodge as the sun slowly sank behind the mountains. Quina had set up a special bouquet building ceremony as she walked in by being gifted pieces of the bouquet to build from special people in her life. Bryan’s reaction as he saw his soon bride-to-be for the first time that day will always be a moment that stands out. The ceremony saw a wide range of emotions-from laughter, to tears, to a little bit of dancing as they walked out as husband and wife for the first time!.
The night concluded after some blue hour portraits with the Bride and Groom, back in the now-flipped ceremony site-Albert’s Lodge. A long main community table for the bridal party was set up in the center with the seats for the Bride and Groom, being directly in front of the grand fireplace. Toasts, food, and songs were shared and first dances were had. The night concluded with the house lights down, and the dj lights flashing as everyone danced and celebrated with the newly wed couple. It was a day completely full emotion, lots of laughter, plenty of tears, joy and happiness. It was truly an honor to get to witness and capture these incredible moments. Congrats to Quina + Bryan!
