“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.”
– Ansel Adams

I remember when I first got into shooting photography, someone challenged me and told me that there are essentially two types you can be: a Camera Operator, or a Creator, and asked which one I was going be.

I had never thought about it like that. While I took photography classes in college and owned high end camera equipment, I knew that didn’t just make me a “Photographer.”

Photography was about more than just knowing your way around the manual settings of a Canon DSLR. It was about creating; creating & capturing the stillness of a moment in time that will never change, although the people and places in it may.

If all it took to become “Photographer” was to own a decent camera, then everyone would be “photographers.”

As a photographer I view the world differently, it is a space to capture and create- moments in time, emotions, stories, and life itself- the victories and failures.

and if you’re wondering if I ever shoot anything besides weddings check out my Creative page!

check out some of my work below, and then let’s create together.
